This week we are focusing on Tiles.
We have just completed a recent bespoke commission. We were approached to design a Cockerel especially for their kitchen to go behind the Aga.
Gabriella took measurements and after detailed consultation with the customer produced a large sketch. Then using beautiful earthenware tiles painted a rather lovely proud cockerel and added a little foliage to complete the look.
From start to finish the tiles are completely hand painted, Gabriella’s signature Cockerel complete with his scrifitto feathered tail with a little grass and bluebells really gives the kitchen a great focal point, and not to mention talking point!
The customer was so happy they have since commissioned Gabriella to paint a hen for their lonely cockerel. Which will be the focus of another blog in the not too distant feature.
